This is a very well presented and well-funded museum which mainly deals with transportation artifacts, but as an exception it has the submarine U-3 preserved there. This is a small coastal boat (367 tons) laid down in 1940. She is in an exceptional state of preservation and is mounted up on blocks in the museum yard, with access and egress doors cut into the side of the sub to allow access from inside the museum, to a route which takes you through the main compartments.
