Proposed Sale of Almirante Latorre
In October 1931, it was reported that Chile was seeking to sell the battleship Almirante Latorre as an economy measure. Predictions that the Chileans would have difficulty finding a buyer due to the limitations imposed by the WNT proved correct, and the ship was not sold.
