Italian attempts to sell Light Cruisers.

The Italian Light Cruiser Bartolomeo Colleoni deployed to the China Station in November 1938. While she was there, Italy attempted to sell her to Japan. While negotiations progressed somewhat, they ultimately failed, and the vessel returned to Italy in August 1939.

Then during the winter of 1939/40, Alberico da Barbiano was offered to Sweden, however the negotiations were not concluded, and only two Spica class torpedo boats were ultimately sold to the Swedish Navy.
