The Deutsches Museum in Munich has two submarines in its collection. U1 was built in 1905-06 as the very first German U-boat and is a rare surviving example of a WW1 submarine. U-1 is located within the main museum building and has had the pressure hull cut-away to allow viewing. This is good for viewing the detail of the submarine, but it is hard to get an overall photograph of the boat. The second submarine is a Seehund mini-submarine from WW2, which has been separated longitudinally into two sections so that you can see into it. The museum also has a collection of warship models. Well worth a visit.
