No warships today, but this falls in the category of something impressive I have never seen before. We were driving between Tampere and Helsinki, when I saw one of the brown tourist attraction signs. I can't read a word of Finnish, but it looked close enough to "panzer museum" for me to give it a go.Sure enough, in the middle of nowhere there was a large tank museum - there must have been more than 50 tanks there (I use the term tank pretty loosely - many of them were actually armoured cars, APCs etc), mostly of Russian origin, but also quite a few German and other ones - plus a number of British and French ones from the interwar period. But what caught my eye was this:Yes - an armoured train! I've never been particularly convinced by the practicality of these things - but this was very impressive and made my day.If that wasn't enough, we then went to see the nearby castle at Hameenlinna - only to discover that there is a 'Military Museum' right next door. It was closing time when we got there, but I took a few shots over the fence, and the place was a veritable sea of artillery pieces and other military paraphernalia.
