The day before visiting the Tirpitz museum, I had visited the Hanstholm Bunkermuseum, near the North-west corner of Jutland. During the war, Hanstholm was equipped with four single 15-inch turrets using the coast-defence version of the 15" guns (i.e. the same type as the one preserved at Kristiansand across the straights in Norway). All the 15-in guns and turrets at Hanstholm were disposed of after the war, however the Bunkermuseum now has the fourth 15-inch gun intended for the Vogelsnest battery at Oxby. This one was separated from the other three and was displayed at the Royal Danish Arsenal Museum in Copenhagen until 2005, when it was relocated to Hanstholm where it is now mounted in front of the museum. They also have a few other smaller guns on display around the car-park, and in the museum building itself, and you can do tours of the bunker.Hanstholm is pretty much out of the way from anywhere, however AFAIK this is the only place above sea-level you are going to see a complete 15-inch gun of the type mounted on Bismarck (the one at Kristiansand is the CD variant). I thought it was worth the effort - but YMMV.
